Senator Adeola Mourns Ifoyintedo Monarch

The Distinguished lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Aremo Dr Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, has expressed deep sadness at the passing away of the Olu of Ifoyintedo, His Royal Majesty Oba Isaac Olatunji Adesiyan (Atelugirijoye 1).

 

The late monarch joined his ancestors on Sunday, 16 June, at the ripe age of 95.

 

In a condolence message to his family and the people of Ifoyintedo in Ipokia LGA, the Senator described the late monarch as a great leader, who contributed much to the development of his community during his reign adding that he will be missed not only by his people but the entire Yewa Traditional Council and Ogun State.

 

“This is a great loss to the people of Yewaland as his institutional knowledge of decades will be missed at this stage of our development. He was a great stabilizing influence and authority in Yewa affairs” the Senator stated.

 

The chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late king and the fortitude for his immediate family and other close associates to bear the irreparable loss.
