2025: Anambra Is Too Serious Minded For Jokers

Posted on June 30, 2024

MAZI EJIMOFOR OPARA

You see this whole back and forth about Ifeanyi Ubah and his many phantasm about going to Agu-awka, it is increasingly becoming an irritating comedy so much so that critical minded persons are beginning to ask, “is this how far we have descended as a people?”

Much as it is an old fact that the crowd, for the most irrational reasons, awkwardly elects to identify with Barabas over and above Jesus, Ndi Anambra are a little more sophisticated and have clear distinction between Excellence and Mediocrity.

While the agitation for a more respectable representation is building up in Anambra South Senatorial district, the 8 years human reproach is embarrassingly attempting to expand into a statewide calamity. I am looking beyond the Governorship election of 2025 which I have taken for granted that it is a Soludo’s day for reasons of his sterling and never-before-seen achievements in just 2years. Including placing the state on a clean bill of fiscal health, rapid infrastructural development and sustainable human capital development.

I am more concerned about the need for Ndi Anambra South to ensure that this human reproach does not go beyond 8years. This is a matter of patriotism, it is a call to duty and a reclamation of their collective dignity. I am sure Anambra South is not cursed that only the worst of them should represent the best of the entire Senatorial district.

They must look beyond Indomie and Keke NAPEP politics and look at entrenching excellent leadership for which Ndi Anambra are known. A politics that prioritizes infrastructural and human capital development over ignominious stomach infrastructure.

This is my Sunday reflection.
