Married Man Sent To Prison For Having Sex With Teenager

A 40-year old married man, Bashir Salako has landed in trouble after he secretly engaged a 16-year old girl in a sex romp.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Akogun Street Igbogbo area of Ikorodu where both the suspect and the victim parents resided.

It was gathered that the suspect lured the victim into the act by first offering her gifts, eventually lured her into the romp and asked the victim not to reveal it to his wife and her parents.

However, the wife and the parents of the victim later knew what happened and reported the matter to the police who arrested Salako and detained at the police station.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Salako admitted his action but said he did so with the consent of the victim. However, the police found him culpable because of the age of the victim and charged him for defilement before Ikeja Magistrates court.

He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O Osunsanmi granted Salako bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 18 January, 2018.
