Council Of Ndieze: Chief Sunday Udeh Yields To BOT’s Decision, Joins Eze Nwalozie’s EXCO During Meeting
CYRIACUS IZUEKWE

The decision of Board of Trustees of the Igbo Speaking Community, Lagos State, led by Dr. Jonathan Nnaji, to have one united Council of Ndieze in the State, may be yielding results following the bold move made by Chief Sunday Udeh to join the EXCO of the Council of Ndieze led by the Chairman, Eze Agbowodike Nwalozie.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that at the executive meeting of Council of Ndieze held in Isolo area of Lagos State, Chief Sunday Udeh and his General Secretary, Engr. Chucks Odimegwu, were physically present and and apologized to the Council for forming parallel Counci of Ndieze led by Eze Chika Nwokedi.
He was said to have demonstrated commitment and promised to abide by the decision of the BOT to have one united and indivisible Igbo Speaking Community and Council of Ndieze in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS was unable to get the response of the members of the executives, which was attended by the BOT Chairman, Dr Nnaji, if actually Chief Udeh has finally been accepted to be a member of the Council in the spirit of peace and reconciliation going on.
However, it was gathered that the Council forgave and mandated Chief Udeh to ensure that those Ndieze, who formed another faction were brought back to the fold.
The major challenge it was learnt is that Chief Udeh is now facing how to convince Eze Nwokedi led Council of Ndieze members to join the mainstream Council of Ndieze led by Eze Nwalozie.
The major thing now is if his faction will join Eze Nwalozie’s Council recognized by the BOT, it means the executives members led by Eze Nwokedi will dissolve itself and join Nwalozie Council and fresh election will be conducted.

It was not certain if Eze Nwokedi will accept to step down as Chairman and collapse his executive to the main Council recognized by the BOT.
However, Eze Nwokedi is not against the peace moves and equally wants a united Igbo Speaking Community and Council of Ndieze in the State when he was contacted.
Chief Udeh was said to have the big task of convincing the group, which insisted that they have millions of Naira in their account and will not surrender the money to the Council led by Nwalozie.
Another factor is the position of the Ezendigbo in Okeafa in Ejigbo, Eze Charles Emesim, who was said to have practically formed the Council of Ndieze led by Eze Nwokedi and even went further to provide his palace for their meetings.
Eze Emesim was said to be totally against collapsing their Council and insisted that Nwalozie’s Council should join them because they have greater number of Ndieze on their own side.
But some of the Igbo Speaking Community members, who spoke to P.M.EXPRESS welcomed the peace initiatives and commended the BOT for their genuine decisions to unite Ndieze.
They stated that Eze Emesim’s argument cannot stand because no matter their numbers, the Council was built on illegality and not recognized by the BOT and therefore, needed to join the authentic Council of Ndieze led by Eze Nwalozie.
“You cannot build something on nothing” ” one of the key stakeholders insisted.
It was not certain what will be the final outcome of the meeting to be summoned by the BOT on the matter. But what Chief Sunday Udeh needs to do is to convince his group to join Nwalozie’s Council as he has declared interest to contest for the position of the president having obtained his form for the election.
