President Tinubu & Governors Are Listening – Gov AbdulRazaq Assures Nigerians
The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, assured Nigerians on Friday that President Bola Tinubu and governors across the country are attentive to the economic concerns of the citizens and are taking significant steps to address these issues.
Governor AbdulRazaq made these remarks to reporters after attending the Jum’ah prayer at the Alihamdulillaah Mosque in GRA, Ilorin, the state capital.
“We have heard you, and a lot more will be done to strengthen the economy and ensure the welfare of the people. I urge all of you to please be patient with the President,” the Governor stated.
He highlighted that the President is working on various interventions to alleviate the economic burden on citizens across the country.
Governor AbdulRazaq also expressed his gratitude to the people of Kwara State for maintaining peace and order as they conduct their daily activities. He emphasized that his administration remains committed to prioritizing their welfare.
“The government appreciates the position of the people of Kwara State on this development. As a government, we have listened, and we have heard you clearly. The President is working on multiple interventions and palliatives to ease the burden,” the Governor said.
“I appeal that we give the President more time and things will be resolved. I am glad that the people of Kwara state have decided to do just that. We continue to engage stakeholders and religious bodies, and they graciously understand, and they are patient. I can assure them that the President is working and very soon things will improve for good.”
He pointed to ongoing initiatives such as the student loan programme and the Credicorp facility as examples of the government’s efforts to support the public. He called for continued patience from those feeling the economic strain, assuring them that the government is responsive and committed to doing the right thing.
AbdulRazaq also reiterated his appreciation to Kwarans for choosing peace and avoiding the mistakes of the past.
