Edozie Njoku’s Empty Threat Is A Joke Taken Too Far – Says APGA National Publicity Secretary

Posted on September 26, 2024
The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Mazi Ejimofor Opara KSM, has stated that the empty threat by Mr. Edozie Njoku to suspend the National Leader of the party, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, is a joke taken too far.
In his reaction on Thursday, the National Publicity Secretary of APGA said, “The recent remark by Chief Edozie Njoku that he will suspend the National Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, is a joke taken too far and an affront on the justice system against which his continued acts of rascality threatens to bring to disrepute”.
“We are constrained to make this succinct press release because we are a party founded on the rule of law, and have benefited immensely from the forthrightness of the judicial system right from the creation of our Party. This is why we have taken to only lawfully approved means in addressing the brigandage of Mr. Njoku and his cohorts.”
“For the records, we restate for the umpteenth time that there is no judgment of Court or even pronouncement recognizing Chief Edozie Njoku as the legally elected National Chairman of APGA. Regardless of the misrepresentation he is spurning on the clear and straight Supreme Court judgement, we have taken legal steps to correcting the anomaly, especially as it appears that he has misled the Independent National Electoral Commission with a non-existent court order.”
“This is why the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja graciously held that our case at the Federal High Court, Abuja, challenging INEC to show proof of any such court order upon which Edozie Njoku’s recognition by the commission rests. But, like one who has enough to hide and floating on falsehood, Edozie has remained nerved with panic, resorting to media grandstanding to continue in his game of deceit.”
“The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) seriously frowns at Njoku’s continued verbal recklessness. As a non-party member, let alone the National Chairman, Mr. Njoku lacks both the moral and legal authority to make such provocative comments. While we continue to urge our members to remain calm and trust the judiciary to once again put an end to this shenanigans, Mr Njoku is further reminded not to take our calm disposition to staying focused on the law for granted or as an act of cowardice.”
“In conclusion, we believe strongly that this too shall come to pass and APGA will soar up above to fulfill its destiny as a party for the people of Nigeria.”
