World Orphan Day: Chadash Constructs 2-Bedrooms For Orphans

As part of the celebration of 2024 World Orphan Day, the Chadash Empowerment Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization, NGO, dedicated to the cause of widows and orphans in the society has built and commissioned. a new residential building for children at the Marantha Care Initiative Children Home at Kapuwa, Lugbe, in Abuja.
World Orphan Day is celebrated every November 13 globally to raise awareness on orphans’ plight and provide a sustainable platform for them to be self-reliance.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony that was attended by Chadash’s team, stakeholders, and heads of communities, Mrs. Temitope Adeola, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chadash said that the completion of the 2-Bedroom En-suite building marks the completion of a vision that has been on for a few months back to serve the accommodation needs of orphans stressing that “This house represents more than just a building; it space where memories will be made, dreams will be realized, and futures will be shaped. It is a symbol of growth, hope, and power of collaboration”.
On her part, the founder of Marantha Care Initiative Children Home, Mrs. Oby Chijindu Mbamalu appreciated the Chadash Empowerment Foundation’s support over time for the orphanages adding that her home “are excited to see the positive impact Chadash is making in the lives, growth and development of the children at the facility”.
She stated that from its foundation to the finishing touches, every aspect of the house reflects quality that would benefit the children for many years to come adding that it is only God that can repay Mrs Adeola and her team in Chadash.
A Kapuwa community leader, Chief M. Luka commended the NGO for the initiative stressing that the modern house is a major contribution to the growth and development of the area.
This new house is expected to serve the resident of Marantha Orphanage Home and is constructed with energy-efficient design, communal spaces, modern amenities and set of bunk beds with mattresses and pillows.
