Nigeria Police Force Appoints Eze Lawrence As Royal Patron POCACOV Southwest

The Nigeria Police Force has appointed Igbo Traditional ruler a.k.a Ezendigbo in Alimosho Local Government and Chairman Council of Ndieze in Lagos State, Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze, as the Royal Father of POCACOV for Southwest.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was contained in a letter presented to Eze Lawrence by the Inspector General of Police, through the office of the National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Oluseyi Olabisi Okuwobi.
The letter, which was presented to Eze Lawrence at his Palace in Ikotun, was witnessed by the MD/CEO Ruzu Herbal Products, Dr Onyemaechi Robert Uzu and the Director of Ndigbo Media Forum Worldwide, Chief Cyriacus Izuekwe,Chairman of all Chairmen of Igbo Speaking Community, Chief Ben Obi and others.
By the appointment, Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze has been officially made the Royal spokesperson of POCACOV in Southwest, which he has accepted and described as a call to duty.
The letter dated 8th October, 2024 stated:
“LETTER OF APPOINTMENT AS ROYAL PATRON FOR SOUTHWEST POLICE CAMPAIGN AGAINST CULTISM AND OTHER VICES (POCACOV) On behalf of the Nigeria Police Force and Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), I am delighted to extend an invitation to you to serve as ROYAL PATRON for South West POCACOV. We have been following your remarkable contributions to National development and believe that your expertise and influence will greatly benefit POCACOV and its mission.”
“As Royal Patron, you will play a crucial role in supporting and promoting POCACOV’s initiatives. Your involvement will inspire stakeholders, and your guidance will be invaluable in helping to achieve preventive policing goals. We are confident that your passion for a crime-free Nigeria aligns perfectly with our mission.”
In this role, we kindly request your support in the following ways:
1. Advocacy: Act as a spokesperson for POCACOV, promoting its mission and values to a wider audience in South West.
2. Fundraising: Assist in securing financial resources and sponsorships to sustain and expand POCACOV programs (advocacy, rehabilitation and reintegration of target groups) in any part of the Country.
3. Networking: Utilize your extensive network to connect POCACOV with potential partners, donors, and supporters.

The appointment has demonstrated that indeed Nigeria the society recognizes the contributions of Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze over the years, it was not the first time he was accepting such appointments for service in the National level. He was former board member of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) and holds the title Agunabo in Awka town, Anambra State aswell has involved in humanitarian services for positive change in the society.
