The Lagos State Government has fixed Monday, November 18th to Friday, December 13th, 2024, for the second phase of the Revalidation of Schools’ Examination Codes Exercise.
The exercise is scheduled to hold in the premises of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm daily.
A statement signed by the Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, said the second phase of the revalidation exercise became necessary to provide another opportunity for Schools that missed out on the previous exercise which lasted between 1st and 28th November, 2023, thereby ensuring that the Examination Codes of these affected Schools are validated.
In his words, “The exercise would also enable the Board to gather necessary data from Schools that are yet to receive their Examination Codes, adding that the Codes are prerequisites for eligibility of Schools’ participation in Schools-based Examinations conducted by the Board”.
“Affected Schools are required to present stipulated documents to enable the Board to obtain accurate data of all Schools for proper documentation and planning, aimed at facilitating the conduct of credible and reliable Examinations in the State”, he noted.
The documents required are an Approval Letter from the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, a Subject Recognition Inspection Report (SR) and a Receipt for payment of the approved fee into the Central Billing System of the State.
Other requirements are the Receipt for Payment for the Unique Identification Code (School Code) and the Last Results collected (in the case of dormant Schools).
The Director therefore, enjoined concerned stakeholders and authorities of these affected schools to take note of the scheduled date and ensure full participation in the Exercise.
