4 Members Of Tricycle “One Chance Robbery” Syndicate Busted During Operation

Police intelligence operatives from Isheri Oshun Division of the Lagos State Command have busted suspected members of notorious robbery syndicate a.k.a “one chance” for using tricycle to rob innocent passengers.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects,  Toheeb Olayiwola, 30, Felix Oliseh, 32 Gift Gnyenuwe, 28, Abiodun Issa, 23, were arrested at Toluwani bus stop in Ijegun/Ikotun Road, Ijegun, where they pretended as rider and passengers then lured and robbed a female passenger, Boluwatife Adebayo, of her phone.
They were however, unlucky as the Police on routine monitoring saw what happened, arrested the suspects and detained them at the station for interrogation over their alleged conduct.
After interrogation,  the Police found them culpable for robbery while operating with a tricycle and consequently charged them before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for conspiracy, conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and stealing.
The charges read:
“That you Toheeb Olayiwola ‘M’, Felix Oliseh ‘M’, Gift Gnyenuwe ‘M’, Abiodun Issa ‘M’, others now at large, on 20/11/2024 at about 08:40hrs at Toluwani Bus stop, Ijegun-Ikotun Road, in the Lagos State magisterial district, did conspire together to commit felony therein, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the criminal law of Lagos State Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II :” That you Toheeb Olayiwola ‘M’, Felix Oliseh ‘M’, Gift Onyenuwe ‘M’, Abiodun Issa ‘M’, and others now at large, on the same date, place and time at the aforementioned magisterial district, did conduct yourselves in a way and manner likely to cause a breach of peace by using one TVS tricycle with Reg NO. EKY 23 QM posing as rider and passengers in the same tricycle and stole one Infinix Smart 7 android phone property of one Boluwatife Adebayo ‘F’, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 168(d) of the criminal law of Lagos State Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT III:” That you Toheeb Olayiwola ‘M’, Felix Oliseh ‘M’, Gift Cnyenuwe ‘M’, Abiodun Issa ‘M’, and others now at large, on the same date, place and time at the aforementioned magisterial district, did steal one Infinix Smart 7 android phone valued at N120,000.00 (one hundred and twenty thousand Naira) belonging to one Boluwatife Adebayo ‘F’, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 criminal law of Lagos State Nigeria 2015.
However, they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.K. Dosumu-Uthman, granted them bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
