Ikeja LG To Host Lagos Head Of Service For October Environmental Sanitation Exercise

Ikeja Local Government will on Saturday, October 31, 2026, host the Head of Service, Lagos State, Mr. Olabode Agoro, at its October 2026 Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise.

The exercise, scheduled to hold from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., will bring together the Executive Chairman, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), the Legislative Arm, management staff and residents to promote environmental cleanliness and healthy living across the local government.

The visit of the Head of Service is expected to reinforce the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, preventing environmental hazards and promoting the well-being of residents.

The Executive Chairman, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda, calls on residents, traders, business owners and other stakeholders to actively participate in the exercise by keeping their surroundings clean and embracing proper waste disposal practices.

He emphasises that a clean environment is essential to public health, community development and the overall quality of life, urging everyone to make environmental sanitation a shared responsibility beyond the monthly exercise.
