ONC Honours High Chief Okocha Kasi Sunday DSP (Rtd) As National Security Adviser

The Orashi National Congress (ONC) on Saturday, November 30, 2024, held a grand ceremony to honour High Chief Okocha Kasi Sunday, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), as the National Security Adviser of the Congress. 
The event took place at High Chief Okocha’s residence in Erema, ONELGA, and witnessed a significant turnout of dignitaries, security personnel, community leaders, and members of the Orashi region.
The occasion had in attendance the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Egi Division, CSP Ekumrinmeta Ekokinmoh, and the Commander of Anti-Cultism, among other notable security experts. Their presence underscored the strategic partnership between the Congress and security agencies in ensuring peace and development in the Orashi region.
Speaking at the event, the President General of the Orashi National Congress, Snr. Comrade Ambassador Emeni Ibe, reaffirmed the Congress’s unwavering dedication to promoting the welfare and security of the Orashi region.
“Our mission is to ensure the Orashi region thrives in unity, security, and development. The appointment of High Chief Okocha Kasi Sunday as our National Security Adviser is a strategic step in achieving this goal. His wealth of experience in security management will significantly enhance our efforts,” Ibe stated.
He further emphasized the Congress’s commitment to fostering collaborations that would uplift the Orashi people and called on stakeholders to support their initiatives.
High Chief Okocha Kasi Sunday, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to the Congress for the honor bestowed upon him. He pledged to utilize his extensive experience in security to contribute meaningfully to the Congress and the Orashi region.
“I am deeply humbled by this appointment and the trust you have placed in me. As National Security Adviser, I pledge to work tirelessly with the Congress and relevant stakeholders to ensure peace and security in our communities. Together, we will create an environment conducive for growth and development,” High Chief Okocha stated.
He also called on the people of the Orashi region to unite and support initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable development.
High Chief Okocha Kasi Sunday’s illustrious career in the Nigeria Police Force, which spanned over three decades, earned him numerous accolades. Rising through the ranks to Deputy Superintendent of Police, his dedication and expertise in security management remain unmatched. He is widely respected for his integrity, humility, and resourcefulness.
The event was marked by cultural displays, speeches, and goodwill messages from various attendees, who lauded High Chief Okocha’s achievements and pledged their support for his new role.
The ceremony concluded with a celebratory reception, leaving attendees inspired by the Congress’s vision and High Chief Okocha’s leadership commitment.
