Alumni Association Gives Back To School 30 Years After Graduation
It was a great feeling of homecoming as Alumni Faculty of Business Administration, University of Nigeria Nsukka gathered on Friday 29th November, 2024, to celebrate their 30th graduation anniversary by giving back to their alma mater.
The event, which held at the Faculty of Business Administration hall of the university of Nigeria, Enugu campus, saw the commissioning of 20kva/15Kw Solar system to light the faculty and donation of books for the faculty Library.
The members of the alumni, who graduated in 1994, are from Marketing, Accounting, Management and Banking and Finance departments, which make up the Faculty of Business Administration.
Apart from the Solar system, the initiatives included scholarships for some students of the faculty which ran into millions of Naira for each student.
“We owe so much to this Faculty,” said Mr. Ben Ewah, president of the association.
“This is our way of ensuring that future generations have the same opportunities we had.”
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Vice- Chancellor of UNEC, Prof Daniel Nwachukwu, university officials and students, all of whom expressed their gratitude for the alumni’s generosity.
The deputy Vice-Chancellor praised the alumni for their commitment to giving back and stated that the contribution would make an impact on the students’ educational experience.
The event also included award presentation to some deserving alumni for their contributions to the school and the country.
A BOT member of PDP and prominent member of the group, Chief Ugochukwu Okeke (Enyioha) who equally made a donation of books for the faculty Library said “We are proud to be part of this Association, and we encourage our fellow graduates to support the university in any way they can”.
Other Alumni who made significant donation at the event include Chief Emeka Mamah (CEO of Ifesinachi Motors) and others.
