Eze Nri Kingdom, Eze Ikenna Onyesoh, Top Igbo leaders Set To Confer Chief Chidi Anyaegbu As Mayor Ndigbo

The traditional ruler of Ancient Nri Kingdom, Eze Ikenna Onyesoh and top Igbo leaders will converged on 16th December, 2024, at Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island for the conferment of the Managing Director, Chisco Motors, Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, as the Mayor of Ndigbo Worldwide. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the regent Eze Onyesoh will be leading other top class traditional rulers from the Southeast, Igbo leaders, market leaders, captains of industry and representatives of Igbo associations that will be coming to Lagos for the epoch event.

 

Chief Anyaegbu, who holds the chieftaincy title as Okeiyi Amichi, is being honoured for his enormous contributions to the progress of Ndigbo over the years.

 

The representatives of United Igbo Elders Council Worldwide delegation will also grace the occasion to honour Chief Anyaegbu as their life Patron. Some members of the group billed to attend the event included,  His Lordship,  Justice Alpha Ikpeam,  Pastor Michael Obierika, Amb. Dr Obiora Odumah, Lolo Louisa Oge Okeke,  HRM Eze Fynface, Rt Major General Collins Ihekire, Professor Pat Utomi, Professor Obasi Igwe, Hon. Anthony Ezike, Chief OZ Uba, Hon. Everest Ezihe, Emeritus Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwu, Iyom Josephine Anenih and many others.

 

The event will be attracting very important dignitaries from across Nigeria under the Chairmanship of the CEO of Air Peace, Dr Allen Onyema.

 

The Royal Fathers of the day include the Ooni of Ife, HRM Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, King Jaja of Opobo Kingdom, HRM Dandeson Douglas, Chairman Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs and Emir of Lafia, HRM,Sidi Bage Mohammed.

 

The Chief Host is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, while the Special Guests are the former Presidents of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Dr Goodluck Jonathan while the host is the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Guests of Honour are the Governors of Eastern States comprising Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia, Imo States, including Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Chief Engr. Authur Eze.

 

Speaking on the event, the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State, Mayor Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, said it is the dawn of an interesting era for Igbo men and women worldwide.

 

Eze Onyesoh expressed his support and in his congratulatory message to Chief Anyaegbu stated: “On behalf of the Ancient kingdom of Nri, I extent my heartfelt support for the Mayor Ndigbo event and congratulate Chief Chidi Anyaegbu on this well deserved honour”.

 

“This historic initiative celebrates Igbo unity, excellence, and identity and I commend your efforts in fostering collaboration and pride among our people.  It is a beacon of hope for Ndigbo Worldwide showing the strength of our heritage and community. ”

 

The event, billed to start by 4pm on that day, is strictly on invitation.
