Anambra State Wins Two Prestigious Awards At The National Primary Healthcare Leadership Challenge
For winning the best state in the southeast zone, Anambra State was presented with a cheque of $500,000 (five hundred thousand dollars). And as the overall best state in the country in the Primary Healthcare Leadership challenge, the State was presented with a cheque of $700,000 (Seven hundred thousand dollars). Bringing the total prize money won by Anambra this night to $1,200,000 (One million two hundred thousand dollars).
The event was powered by the Nigeria Governor’s Forum; Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; Aliko Dangote Foundation; Federal Ministry of Health; and UNICEF.
The Primary Health Care Leadership Challenge aims to enhance Governors’ commitment to human capital development and primary health care, mobilize state resources, promote accountability, and foster innovation for gender-specific health outcomes.
