Ojodu LCDA Hosts Health Mission To Combat Tuberculosis and Promote Wellness

Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, today held a health mission to raise awareness about tuberculosis and provide free medical services to residents.

The initiative, led by Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, Wife of the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, was themed “Yes, We Can End TB” and took place at the Ogba Primary Health Centre (PHC).

Key activities included a road show and health talk on tuberculosis prevention, free blood sugar and blood pressure checks, free chest X-rays and tuberculosis screenings. A total of 159 residents benefited from the Programme, which emphasized early detection and prevention of diseases.

Mrs. Odunmbaku highlighted the importance of regular health interventions in tackling critical health challenges as beneficiaries expressed gratitude, calling the initiative timely and impactful.

 

The event underscores Ojodu LCDA’s dedication to improving community health through proactive and accessible healthcare programmes in line with the Health Development Pillar of it’s H.E.Y.S Agenda.
