Mayor Lucky Igbokwe Receives Hero’s Welcome As Ohuhu Youth Forum Unity Cup Enters Final Stages

Amid cheers and fanfare, politician, businessman, and philanthropist Mayor Lucky Igbokwe was warmly received by the executive members of the Ohuhu Youth Forum upon his arrival at Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri, Imo State.

Accompanied by his family, Igbokwe returned from the United States to lend his support to the final stages of the Ohuhu Youth Forum Unity Cup Football Championship.

The tournament, solely sponsored by the Don Lulu Foundation, aims to foster unity among the various youth groups in the Ohuhu clan, Umuahia, Abia State, develop their skills and talents, and promote a lifestyle free from drug abuse and social vices.

Speaking on behalf of the Ohuhu Youth Solidarity Union, President Iheanacho Uchenna expressed gratitude for Mayor Lucky Igbokwe’s unwavering support. He noted that the teams are eager to compete in the quarterfinal, semifinal, and final matches of the championship, set to begin on Sunday, December 29, and conclude with a grand finale on January 5, 2025.

“The Unity Cup is not just about football,” Uchenna said. “It’s about building bridges, encouraging healthy competition, and ensuring our youths become shining examples in their communities. This tournament will pave the way for other impactful initiatives, including a seminar on drug abuse and cultism.”

Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, through the Don Lulu Foundation, continues to champion youth development and empowerment in the region, reinforcing his commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

The tournament is a beacon of hope, promoting camaraderie and a brighter future for the Ohuhu youth.
