Onigbongbo Council Chairperson, Barr. Rekiyah Hassan Spreads Christmas Love To Widows

In the spirit of the yuletide season, the Executive chairperson of Onigbongbo LCDA, Lagos State, Barr Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan on Friday 27th December, 2024, distributed live chickens, rice, and some reasonable cash as palliatives to the widows in the council area.

 

The gesture aimed at cushioning the economic hardship faced by the widows during the Christmas period was part of the chairperson’s efforts to bring joy and happiness to the faces the less privileged.

 

While making her speech, the chairperson emphasized the importance of showing love and care to the vulnerable in the society.

 

“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, it is essential that we remember those who are struggling to make ends meet . These widows have been through a lot and it is our duty to support them” the chairperson said.

 

The widows, who were visibly overwhelmed with emotions, thanked the chairperson for the love, kindness, and generosity.
