A 46-year old man, Etukokwu Nwadimpa, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly  molesting three sisters of same parents by engaging one in sex and penetrating the private part of the two others with his fingers.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 11th January, 2025, at Shomefun Street, Agege area of Lagos, where they reside.

According to the Police, the man lured the victims into his apartment separately and molested them. But one of the victims revealed what happened, which led the two other victims to reveal that they were also sexually molested by the man.

The matter was reported to the Police in the area and the man was arrested. From there, he was transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.

After rounds of interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment and life imprisonment.

The charges read:

“That you. Etukokwu Nwadimpa ‘m’, on the 11th day of January, 2025, at about 1530hours at Shomefun Street, Agege Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile the victim, f 9years old by having sexual intercourse with her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Sections 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

COUNT II: “That you, Etukokwu Nwadimpa ‘m’ on the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did sexually assault the victims  11years and 8years by penetrating their vagina with your finger and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

However, the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned after the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the seriousness of the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.

The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
