Obesere At 60: Sidophobia Fans Plan To Storm Official Opening Of Mosque Built By Obesere 

Fuji Music Maestro, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, PK1ST, has completed the building of a Mosque in commemoration of his 60th Birthday.

The Mosque, which is situated at the premises of Iponri Grammar School, Iponri area of Lagos, is due for official opening on Monday 27th January, 2025, a day to his 60th Birthday celebrations.

The project was done in conjunction with the Sidophobia Fans Club of Obesere, his official fans club.

The project lead, Akanni Basiru Olaniyi, Ola Mother, said the location of the mosque is strategic, as it is his own little way of giving back to his Alma Mater as Abass Akande Obesere is an Old Student of Iponri Grammar School.

“Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere (PK1st), said as a way of celebrating his birthday, he wants to give back to the school, where his illustrious musical career started. After consulting with the management of the school, they requested for the building of the mosque which he expressly agreed to.” Akanni Basiru a.k.a Olamother, relating the decision to build the mosque for the school and within the school premises.

A leader of the official fans group of Sidophobia Fans Club of Obesere, Waheed Buruj Salaudeen, appreciated the fans for their support throughout the duration of the mosque’s construction.

“I am thanking God for the successful completion of the mosque using this medium to appreciate the fans for their support”.

Meanwhile, The President of Sidophobia Fans Club of Obesere, Olugbenga Benedict Awoyemi, said the club will be storming the venue of the mosque opening on Monday en masse.

“The fans are ready to come out in large numbers on Monday, 27th January for the official opening of the mosque for worship. We are very happy for the completion of the house of prayer and we can’t wait to join AgbaAkin at the official opening to begin the celebration of the 60th birthday in the presence of God” Awoyemi stated.

The official opening is due for 11am at the school’s premises as Abass Akande Obesere will be in attendance to kick off the celebration of the 60th Birthday.

Other activities lined up for the Mosque opening day is the cultural display from the school students to welcome the great music icon into the school, where he graduated from in 1983.

We gathered that there is a special gift from Abass Akande Obesere to the students of the Iponri Grammar School, as the Paramount King of Music has been looking forward to meet the students of the school.

Abass Akande Obesere PK1ST is a native of Ibadan Oyo State, born in Ibadan on 28th January 1965.

The widely travelled musician, who began his music over 43 years ago and he will be celebrating his 60th Birthday on Tuesday 28th January 2025 at the Anchor Event Agindingbin Lagos.

The legendary musician has lined up activities to commemorate the special day which include the launching of a new Album, launching of a book and launching of the an NGO, the Sidophobia Foundation which is to take care of the aged and needy in the society .

He will be gifting his band’s men plots of land for their loyalty all through the years while unveiling five freshly built houses, two in Lagos, three in Ibadan in addition to his previous houses.

Obesere will also be giving a house, as a surprise gift to a yet to be named “very special’ personality for the special contribution to Obesere’s success story.
