Orashi National Congress To Confer Prestigious Award On CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale
The Orashi National Congress (ONC), the umbrella body representing the interests of the Orashi region in Rivers State, has announced the conferment of an Award of Excellence on Commissioner of Police, CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the security and progress of Rivers State.
In a formal letter addressed to the CP, the ONC highlighted his dedication and remarkable service to the State’s Police Command, particularly from his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Operations to his current position as Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command.
The award will be presented during a grand investiture ceremony scheduled for February 14, 2025, at the Rubitex Event Center in Ahoada, Ahoada East Local Government Area.
The event will also celebrate other distinguished personalities, including Her Excellency, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, DSSRS, Deputy Governor of Rivers State.
Speaking on the upcoming event, Amb. Comr. Emeni Ibe, President General of ONC, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating individuals who have significantly contributed to the peace, security, and development of the Orashi region and Rivers State at large.
“This award is a testament to CP Adepoju Olugbenga Adewale’s professionalism, dedication, and relentless efforts in maintaining law and order in Rivers State. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering a safer environment for our people,” Amb. Comrade Ibe stated.
The Secretary General of ONC, Pst. Isaac Nwachikwu, also emphasized the importance of acknowledging those who work tirelessly for the common good, urging stakeholders and community leaders to attend the prestigious event.
The investiture ceremony is expected to attract notable figures from government, security agencies, traditional institutions, and civil society, making it a historic occasion for the Orashi region.
