I’m In Court With Those Who Published False Information About Me & Tinubu –Smart Adeyemi

Posted on March 4, 2025

Senator Smart Adeyemi, former Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has stated that he has instituted legal action against those who published false information about him concerning President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government.

In a statement personally signed and dated Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Adeyemi reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and his unwavering support for President Tinubu.

“My attention has just been drawn to an unfortunate publication making the rounds, falsely attributed to me.

“Let me categorically state that this publication is completely false and entirely fabricated.

“Apart from being a committed member of the APC, I have been and remain a strong believer in His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“During the campaign, I traveled to 26 states across the nation to lend my voice and support to a worthy cause. His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, played an instrumental role in my political career and has significantly contributed to who I am today,” he said.

Senator Adeyemi emphasised that he neither granted any interview nor held a press conference on the matter, challenging those responsible for the false report to provide evidence of any such statements attributed to him.

“This is clearly a calculated and malicious attempt by my political adversaries to create discord and disaffeaaction, with the aim of undermining my standing with this government.

“It is evident that the intent behind this publication is to mislead the public, and I urge everyone to disregard it completely. My position on the President and this administration is clear and unambiguous.

“We cannot continue to allow mischief and falsehoods to prevail, which is why I have engaged my legal team—Femi Falana (SAN), Barrister Dapo Otitoju (Ph.D.), and Bimbo Dainito—to seek legal redress immediately and hold the perpetrators accountable,” he stated.
