Nigeria’s Gas Titan, Prof Ezigbo Emerges Anambra Man Of The Year

Renowned gas titan, Prof Joe Ezigbo, has been named Anambra Man of the Year in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

 

Professor Ezigbo is the founder of Falcon Corporation, a leading indigenous gas distribution company in Nigeria.

 

As the Managing Director of Falcon Corporation, Prof Ezigbo has played a pivotal role in powering numerous Nigerian industries with gas.

 

“His nomination as man of the year is based on the fact that he has demystified gas for Nigerians.

“Prof Joe Ezigbo has started driving a new wave of industrialization in Nigeria with his gas revolution. What he is doing in that sector is disruptive and Nigerians will be better for it in the coming years”,the group said.

Recent deals by Falcon Corporation Limited include a partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to develop a gas processing plant, as well as a collaboration with the Lagos State Government to provide gas infrastructure for the state’s industrial sector.

Prof Ezigbo’s impressive academic background, which includes degrees from the University of Nigeria, Imperial College London, and the University of Salford Manchester, has equipped him with the expertise to drive innovation in the oil and gas industry.

A multiple award winner, Prof Ezigbo has received numerous accolades, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year West Africa Award 2014 and the Lagos Business School Distinguished Alumni Award 2018.

As a philanthropist, Prof Ezigbo is committed to touching lives through his foundation, The Joe Ezigbo Foundation, which provides annual scholarships and humanitarian interventions.

According to the organizers, AMTY was conceptualised to celebrate exceptional talents in Anambra State . Prof Joe Ezigbo and other awardees represent some of our very best in different fields.

Some of the awardees include Ex Vice-Chancellors of UNN and NAU Professors Benjamin Ozumba and Okey Esimone respectively. Others include former Nigeria’s Consul-General in South Africa, Amb Ajulu Okeke, oil Mogul, Engr Barth Nwibe, PDP BOT member, Chief Ugochukwu Okeke, Chairman, Keystone Bank, Lady Ada Chukwudozie and many others
