2 Elderly Women Arraigned For Abduction Of 3 Children Of Same Parents

Two elderly women,Verrissimo Titilayo, 65 and Mosunmola Oke, 67, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly depriving the father of three children, Mr. Quincy Oluwatobi, access to his biological children. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the women were alleged to have abducted the children, Rachael Okah ‘f’ 6,  Elizabeth Okah ‘f’5 and (3) Paul Okah ‘m’ 1year old and taken them to an unknown place without the consent of their father.
The incident happened in November, 2024 at Kayfarm Estate, lju – Lagos.
The matter was reported to the Gender Section of the State Police Command and the women were arrested and detained at the Command for interrogation over their alleged conduct.
However, during the interrogation, the Police asked them to produce the children but they did not do so. Consequently, they were charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The charges read:
“That you, Verrissimo Titilayo of and Mosunmola Oke ‘f in the month of November 2024 till date, af Kayfarm Estate, lju – Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire among yourself to commit felony and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II: “That you, Verrissimo Titilayo and Mosunmola Oke ‘f, on the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did conduct yourselves in a manner likely to cause the breach of the peace by denying one Quincy Oluwatobi ‘m’ access to his biological chileren (1) Rachael Okah ‘f 6years, (2) Elizabeth Okah ‘f 5years and (3) Paul Okah ‘m’ 1year old and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 168(d) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However,  they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
The Court also ordered the defendants to produce the three children before the Court on the adjourned date.
