The Rivers State Youth Leaders Assembly of Nigeria, has condemned and rejected the appointment of sole administrators in the 23 Local Government Areas of Rivers State, by the Rivers State Sole Administrator, argued this is contempt of Supreme Court Judgement and contravention to the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as Amended.

The Apex indigenous Youth body in the State in a statement issued in Port Harcourt and signed by its executives, urged the Rivers State Sole Administrator to immediately reverse his  decision, as it is illegal and unconstitutional for him to appoint sole administrators at the Local Government  Areas.

The statement further disclosed that the Rivers State Youth Leaders Assembly of Nigeria as the Apex indigenous youth leadership body in the state will challenge the decision legally, should the Rivers State Sole Administrator fail to reverse his decision.

The Apex indigenous Youth Leadership body in the state called on the good people of Rivers State to continue to be patient in the midsts of provocation by an illegitimate group of persons constantly violating and contravening the Constitution of our dear country Nigeria with impunity and recklessness, the statement also said that, they should continue to rally round support to the elected representative of the State under the leadership of His Excellency, Sir Dr Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State as Head of Government of Rivers State, that when Almighty God speaks earth will obey.
