School Owner Docked For Concealing Rape Of 11 Students By Teacher Inside School

A 52-year old female owner of Babs Fafunwa Millenium Secondary School, Ojodu Berger, Lagos, Mrs. Omotayo Abiodun Osunrinde, has landed in trouble for allegedly consealing the rape of 11 students by a teacher inside the school premises. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mrs. Osunrinde has been arrested and charged for concealing sexual offences under the Criminal Laws of the State.
According to the Police, one of the school teachers, Mr. Olugbenga Egberongbe, had in January, 2025 allegedly raped the students in the school premises. And when the suspect got information about what happened to the victims, she reportedly consealed it and did not report to the Police.
However, the information later leaked to the victims parents, who confronted the suspect and it was discovered that she knew about it but concealed it without informing the Police.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area. She was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct. After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Omotayo Abiodun Osunrinde, “f” sometime in January 2025 at Babs Fafunwa Millenium Secondary School, Ojodu Berger, Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conceal sexual offences of one Mr. Olugbenga Egberongbe against 11 students in your school and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 98 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, granted her bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
