Leadership Is About Purpose & Service – Says Hon. Princess Dr Folashade Olabanji-Oba

The National Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria and Executive Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Area, Hon. Princess Dr Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has posited that leadership is not about position but it is about purpose and service.
Dr Olabanji-Oba expressed her guiding thought when she joined their revered Chairman, Cardinal James Odumbaku, and tireless Vice Chairman, Mr. Kola Peregrino, Hon. Bisi Yussuf ( Director General) at the inaugural Directorate meeting of the Grand Movement for Tinubu (GMT), where she had the honour of serving as Deputy Director, Strategy and Planning.
Commenting on Grand Movement for Tinubu, Yeye Omoluabi Agbaiye said, “Our purpose is clear: to rally national support for the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to contribute meaningfully to the success of his administration through strategic grassroots engagement”.
“GMT is not just a structure—it is a movement rooted in commitment, unity, and patriotic service.
At yesterday’s meeting, newly appointed Directors and Deputy Directors were formally presented with their letters of appointment, marking the beginning of a collective assignment that calls for action, dedication, and shared vision.”
“It’s an honour to walk this path with such passionate and capable individuals. Together, we are ready to serve—and to build” Hon. Dr. Olabanji-Oba said.
