Ohanaeze Ndigbo Commends Enugu State Govt On Launch Of EnuguAir, Calls For Regional Collaboration On Ohanaeze Refinery

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the group also calls for Regional Collaboration on Ohanaeze Refinery as contained in  a statement personally signed and issued by the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Dr. Omenazu Jackson (JP).

It also noted the establishment of EnuguAir as a strategic milestone in the economic and infrastructural advancement of the Southeast.

“The launch of EnuguAir is a symbol of innovation and foresight. It reflects the indomitable spirit of Ndigbo — our resilience, enterprise, and determination to build from within. We salute the Governor and people of Enugu State for this bold and progressive vision,” the statement read.

Chief Dr. Omenazu Jackson further urged Ndigbo across the globe to look inward and support initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of Alaigbo, stressing that the rebirth of the Southeast must be anchored on economic self-reliance, technological advancement, and regional synergy.

In a related call, the Ohanaeze President General urged all Southeast governments to collaborate on the establishment of the proposed “Ohanaeze Refinery”. He emphasized that such a project is crucial in closing the widening gap in petroleum product accessibility across the region, while also creating employment opportunities, enhancing technical and vocational manpower development and fostering regional energy security.

“The time has come for the Southeast governors to think and act collectively. A united effort towards establishing the Ohanaeze Refinery will not only improve our local economy but also position the Southeast as a hub for industrial advancement,” Dr. Jackson stated.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo reiterated its unwavering commitment to championing strategic ideas and working with all stakeholders to ensure the prosperity and dignity of the Igbo people within the Nigerian federation and globally.
