Lady, 32 Arraigned For allegedly Stealing Company’s N30m Clothes

A 32-year old lady, Kehinde Ishola, has been arrested and charged for allegedly stealing company’s clothes worth N30m belonging to Entrepreneur Becca Stitches at Sule Abuka Crescent, Opebi Ikeja, Lagos State .
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident between May, 2023 and June, 2025, at the company’s premises where she was employed as a worker.
According to the Police, the suspect was employed and she started stealing the materials worth the said amount before the company discovered that the items were missing after some years.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ikeja Division. The suspect was subsequently arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over the missing items.
After thorough investigation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, KEHINDE ISHOLA ‘F’, and others at large between May, 2023 and June 2025 at ENTREPRENEUR BECCA STITCHES at No. 32, Sule Abuka Crescent, Opebi Ikeja, Lagos State in Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to steal and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II: “That you, KEHINDE ISHOLA ‘F’, and others at large, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal fiber material and ready to wear clothes worth Thirty Million Naira (N30,000,000.00), properties of Entrepreneur Becca Stitches and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 287 (7) of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted her bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses will be verified by the Court with proof of tax payment.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
