Pomp & Pageantry As Oyin Adegbite Gets Decorated As ACP In Grand Style

It was pomp and pageantry at Kam Salem House, Obalende area of Lagos, as top senior Police officers decorated ACP Oyin Francess Zarat Adegbite in grand style .

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that top among dignitaries present apart from senior Police officers included the Chairman of Council of Ezendigbo in Lagos State,  Eze Dr Chika Nwokedi, members of Lions Club, Urhobo indigenes, friends and wellwishers among others.

ACP Adegbite has made her marks leading to the significant elevation in her distinguished career as professional Police officer.

 

A visibly excited and overjoyed ACP Adegbite acknowledged the Almighty God as the author of her destiny and expressed deep appreciation to the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force, especially Inspector-General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, and the Police Service Commission for the honour.

ACP Adegbite, in her address, reflected on her journey as not only a reward for past service but as a renewed call to greater responsibility, deeper commitment, and unwavering loyalty to the ideals of the Nigeria Police Force.

 

She expressed heartfelt thanks to key figures such as AIG Musa Yusuf Garba, the Assistant Inspector-General in charge of the Maritime Police Command, and AIG Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade for their mentorship and support.

ACP Adegbite also paid tribute to her superiors, mentors, colleagues, and loyal subordinates, who contributed to her professional growth and success. She highlighted the collective nature of policing, emphasizing that the badge worn represents noble duties that require honour, courage, fairness, and accountability.

ACP Oyin Francess Zarat Adegbite equally acknowledging the crucial role of her family and thanked her husband, Alhají Dr. Olaniyi Adegbite, and her mother, Mrs. B.E. Nemisinghan, for their sacrifices, prayers, and steadfast support throughout her career.

She encouraged younger officers to remain dedicated, honest, and consistent, underlining that such traits are recognized and rewarded in the long run. ACP Adegbite also expressed gratitude to Lions International District 404B4 Nigeria and her alma maters, Baptist Girls High School, Agbor, and Delta State University, whose academic and moral foundations supported her professional journey.

ACP Oyin Francess Zarat Adegbite was born on February 14, 1975, in Warri, Delta State and hails from Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Labour Relations from Delta State University, Abraka. She was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 2002, starting as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.

With experience across several states and multiple leadership roles, including five Divisional Police Officer postings within the Lagos State Command, ACP Adegbite has gained recognition for her competence, leadership, and community engagement. She currently serves as the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Admin) at the Maritime Police Command.

She is an esteemed member of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and has attended numerous professional courses focusing on policing, administration, and gender-sensitive law enforcement.

ACP Adegbite is known for her grace, warmth, and strong family values, enjoying traveling, dancing, and social interaction. Her promotion is a celebration of a remarkable career defined by courage, intellect, and dedication to national service and public safety.

As the Nigeria Police Force continues to evolve in professionalism and public trust, ACP Oyin Adegbite’s advancement is both a personal triumph and a beacon of inspiration for officers and the general public alike.

She noted that the promotion will spur her to do more diligent work and professionalism in the Nigeria Police.
