Senator Adeola’s Projects Not Personal Favour But Effective Representation – Says Media Office
The Media Office of Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West) and Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, said that the attention of the Office has been drawn to a recent press release by the Ogun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), seeking to obfuscate the value of the 102 transformers distributed to 435 Community Development Areas across Ogun State.
In a statement signed by Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, the Media Office said, “The crux of PDP’s whimpering on this laudable initiative has nothing to do with its intrinsic value to millions of Ogun State indigenes but on some egoistic calculations devoid from addressing societal challenges”.
“For the records and for the umpteenth time, Senator Adeola has never claimed his numerous facilitated projects and mega empowerment as personal favours to constituents and others but a faithful discharge of his electoral mandate and effective representation.”
“Any unbiased observer not suffering from politically induced phobia of Senator Adeola and APC will note the conspicuous use of the word ‘facilitated’ in reference to all Senator Adeola’s projects and mega empowerment. The word is reflected in projects signposts and all brochures relating to the projects and empowerment programmes.”
“Equally significant to puncture the lame duck quixotic thesis of Senator Adeola claiming “person favour”on facilitated projects is the fact that these projects are always tied to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and complementary to the good works of APC administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun administration in Ogun state. This is amply reflected in photographic banners on all the projects facilitated by Senator Adeola carrying trioka pictures of the President, the state governor and the senator.”
“It is therefore, a total misrepresentation of glaring facts that stares the opposition party in face to hallucinate that Senator Adeola is claiming personal favour for his effective representation that is addressing multifaceted social challenges.”
“The Senator owes no apology to any opposition figure or party whose previous participation in government has not addressed these societal challenges in any appreciable ways as he is now doing.”
“The Media Office appreciates the accolades showered on Senator Adeola for making a difference where opposition PDP and others failed or are incapable of envisioning solutions to peoples problems while they served in government in various capacities.”
“Senator Adeola will continue to fight for Ogun West and Ogun State’s inclusion in the national budget, defend its allocations, and followed through with effective implementation to address the needs of the people in tandem with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.”
“The 102 transformers are the outcome of strategic facilitation and effective representation, proof that when experienced and committed legislators occupy positions of influence, their states reap the benefits. Instead of attempting to discredit this achievement, the PDP should see it as a challenge to ensure their own representatives deliver measurable projects to their constituents.”
