All is set for the inauguration and swearing in of the new executives of the Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos State led by Chief Sunday Udeh, who emerged as the President after the Board of Trustees restored peace in the community.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the inauguration will take place on 14th September, 2025 at the Sickle Cell Foundation of Nigerian (SCFN) Multipurpose Hall, Opposite the Lagos Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos, by 10 am.
This was disclosed by the BOT Chairman, Dr Jonathan Nnaji, in an invitation to the key stakeholders, members of the public and many dignitaries are expected to attend the event.
Part of the invitation letter sent to some key stakeholders by the BOT read:
“It is with great honour that we invite you to be our esteemed Guest of Honour at the Swearing-in Ceremony and Inauguration of the newly elected executives of the Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos.”
“Your remarkable leadership and tireless dedication to the Igbo community have earned you widespread recognition and admiration.”
This was confirmed by Dr Jonathan Nnaji, who stated that peace has finally returned to the Igbo Speaking community after several years of crisis but was eventually resolved by the BOT through the Consent Court Judgment.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that peace finally returned to the Community following the judgment and the efforts of the BOT  and electoral committee members, who brokered peace between the two factions led by Chief Sunday Udeh and Chief Sunday Eze.
In the process of making peace by the BOT,  Chief Sunday Eze stepped down for Chief Udeh to become the sole candidate for the position of the president while the factions harmonized other positions in line with the consent judgment of the Court.
Those expected to attend the event include the Igbo Speaking Community Council of Ndieze, Chairmen of all the LCDAs,  captains of Industry, key Igbo critical stakeholders, men and women wing of the Igbo Speaking Community,  friends and wellwishers among others.
