Ikeja Council Boss, Comrade Dauda Attends Presentation Of Free Eyeglasses By Vanguard Newspaper

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Monday attended the presentation of free eyeglasses organized by Vanguard Newspaper for its agents and vendors within Ikeja Local Government Area.

 

Invited as the Special Guest of Honour, Comrade Dauda commended Vanguard Newspaper for the thoughtful initiative, describing it as a laudable demonstration of corporate social responsibility and a worthy way of appreciating the efforts of their agents and vendors.

 

The Chairman personally presented eyeglasses to beneficiaries and encouraged Vanguard Newspaper to sustain and expand such noble gestures, noting that the well-being of workers in every sector remains crucial to community development.

 

In his remarks, the Ikeja Chairman also highlighted that part of his health initiative under the I.K.E.J.A AGENDA is the JIGI AKOD project, which is designed to provide free eye tests and eyeglasses for residents across Ikeja. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with his broader vision of delivering people-centered governance with a strong focus on healthcare accessibility.

 

The organizers of the programme expressed their gratitude to the Council Chairman for honouring the event with his presence. They also commended his vision and agenda to move Ikeja forward, noting that his people-focused leadership continues to inspire confidence in the grassroots.
