Retired CP Akika Gives Out Daughter, Ruth In Marriage

Dignitaries from across Lagos State and beyond at the weekend converged at the home of Retired Commissioner of Police, CP Augustines Akika, as he gave his daughter, Ruth, out in marriage to Rilwan. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the introduction, which took place on Saturday, attracted many dignitaries from different ethnic groups in Nigeria.
Those in attendance included the  Chairman of Supreme Council of Ezendigbo in Lagos State and Ezendigbo in Alimosho Local Government, Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze and his amiable wife, Ugoeze, including his cabinet members.
The President of Ambassadors for Peace, Chief Cyril Ezewele, Odereigbo one of Alimosho, Chief Luwinco,the leaders of Urhobo community in Lagos State, Chief Mike Ochuko and Sunny Akpaoyibo,  Youth leader of the Igbo Speaking community, Lagos State, Chief Okechukwu Uzuegbunam, President General of Market leaders in Nigeria,  Chief C.F.C Obi among others.
Top Police officers including the rank and file officers were also in attendance as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Police,  DCP Tsave, all to honour CP Akika and his family.
Some of the guests, who were present at the event, said that they attended in order to honour CP Akika because he is the man of people; who has been kind, generous and friendly to all without any consideration of religious, cultural and ethnic background.
Eze Lawrence Nnamdi described Akika as a man who has demonstrated over the years that he loves Ndigbo and that was why he was given the Igbo Chieftaincy title of Nwanne Di na Mba and several other titles that cut across ethnic groups in Nigeria.
He prayed that God will continue to bless Akika and his family including his daughter he gave out in marriage.
It must be noted that CP Augustines Akika holds many traditional Chieftaincy titles, including Nwanne Di na Mba of Alimosho, Ebubedike of Alagbado, Otunba Jagunmolu of Shasha and Egbeda, the Akinrogun of Meiran and an Ambassador of Peace by the UN, amongst several awards before and after retirement from the Nigeria Police Force.
