Lagos State Govt Appoints Mandykiss As LASKADA Ambassador

Posted on October 1, 2025

The Lagos State Government has appointed popular content creator, Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, widely known as Mandykiss, as an ambassador for its flagship anti-drug campaign, Lagos State Kicks Against Drug Abuse (LASKADA).

The announcement was made on Monday by the Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, who described the move as a “purposeful redirection” of youthful influence towards a more positive cause.

Ogunlende, in a Facebook post, explained that the decision followed a series of engagements with Mandykiss after her controversial declaration to attempt a Guinness World Record “100 men in 24 hours sex marathon.”

“A society thrives when it listens, engages and redirects its future with compassion and purpose,” the commissioner wrote.

“What was slated to be the start of her controversial record attempt has instead become a pivotal moment of redirection. She has now embraced a purpose-driven cause, standing for something greater than herself. Mandykiss has been appointed an Ambassador of LASKADA, partnering with us in combating drug abuse and substance misuse among youths in Lagos.”

Mandykiss had sparked outrage nationwide when she publicly announced her intention to set a Guinness World Record by engaging in sexual intercourse with 100 men within 24 hours.

The proposal was immediately dismissed by the Guinness World Records (GWR) organization, which stated that it does not monitor or recognize such records, describing it as “immoral and unacceptable.”

The backlash did not stop there. Traditional ruler, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom in Ogun State, called for her arrest, warning that such a plan, if carried out, would further erode Nigeria’s cultural and moral values.

Under pressure, Mandykiss later recanted, clarifying that the declaration was merely a “content creation outburst” designed to go viral and not a genuine plan.

Instead of dismissing her, the Lagos State Government saw the uproar as an opportunity to engage and redirect. According to Commissioner Ogunlende, discussions were held with Mandykiss, during which issues around mental health, emotional wellness, and the responsibility of public figures were openly addressed.

The government emphasized that Mandykiss’s huge influence among young people could be channeled into more constructive advocacy.

Now, as a newly appointed LASKADA ambassador, she is expected to use her platform to raise awareness on the dangers of drug abuse and substance misuse, and to serve as a role model for youth engagement in positive causes.

The Sanwo-Olu administration described the development as a “story of transformation rather than cancellation,” stressing that when young people are guided with compassion, they can become agents of positive change.

With this appointment, Mandykiss moves from controversy to advocacy, carrying a new responsibility to help build a healthier, drug-free future for Lagos youth.
