Comrade Dauda Joins Pastor Adeboye & Gov Sanwo-Olu At Special Thanksgiving Service
In a remarkable show of unity, humility, and interfaith harmony, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Sunday, 5th October, 2025, joined the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, at the RCCG National Headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, for a Special Thanksgiving Service for the Nation.
The Ikeja Council Chairman, Comrade Dauda, attended the spiritual event alongside his colleagues from the 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Lagos State, as they collectively prayed for peace, prosperity, and divine direction for Nigeria, Lagos State, and their respective communities.
The service, themed around Psalm 127:1; “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it”; emphasized the need for divine guidance in leadership and national progress.
Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda’s participation, despite being a devout Muslim, further underscores his deep sense of religious tolerance, inclusivity, and respect for all faiths. His presence at the Christian gathering reflects his belief that leadership transcends religion and that both faith and service to humanity are essential for building a united and progressive society.
Comrade Dauda continues to exemplify the spirit of inclusive leadership in Ikeja Local Government, fostering harmony among all residents and demonstrating that true leadership is about service to all, without discrimination.
