Dr Bwala Bags FWAFJ’s WABSOTY Award 2025

The Special Adviser/Spokesperson to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Media and Policy Communications, Dr. Daniel Bwala, has bagged ‘West Africa’s Best Spokesperson of the Year 2025’ award.

The event held on Thursday, 23rd October, 2025, at the National Merit Award building, popularly known as *Merit House*, Maitama, Abuja, and organised by the Federation of West African Freelance Journalists, had many dignitaries including captains of industry, royal fathers, political icons, religious leaders among others in attendance.

The award, dubbed “Outstanding Achievers Recognition Award International (OARAI 2025)” by the *Federation of West African Freelance Journalists (FWAFJ)* is an annual event that showcases culture, humanitarian gestures as well as outstanding public service from both public and private sector individuals.

The year 2025 award saw the conferment of West Africa’s Best Spokesperson of the Year 2025 award on Dr. Daniel Bwala, Spokesperson to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in recognition of his obvious impact on communicating government policies and projecting the government itself.

Speaking on his behalf while receiving the award, Mr. Omogbolahan Babawale, had described Dr. Bwala as a national asset that should be the pride of everyone. He described him as a sine qua non by all standards or metrics.

“Dr. Bwala is more than deserving of the award. He’s a national asset that is worth beholding.” Mr. Babawale had said while fielding questions from journalists after the event.

The FWAFJ’s award is in recognition of the monumental work the Special Adviser and Spokesperson to Mr. President is doing to project, not only the image of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu but also the government of Nigeria across the globe.
