Giving Tuesday Nigeria, the NGO with a global generosity movement that aims to inspire individuals to make a positive impact in the lives of others daily, has announced plans for the nation’s first-ever Giving Tuesday Festival.

Scheduled to take place on December 2, 2025, at Ilaje-Bariga, Lagos State, Nigeria, the festival promises to be a landmark event that brings together corporate organisations, nonprofits, media, volunteers, and members of the public to promote generosity, collaboration, and community service across Nigeria.

The press briefing, held at Eridan Space, Ikeja, Lagos, attracted a large turnout of media personnel and was attended by key staff members, including Folakemi Adesina, Abigail Akinbanire, Sunkanmi Oladejo, and Muibat Olaoye, who unveiled the exciting line-up of activities for the festival.

Speaking at the media launch, Folakemi Adesina, Country Lead of GivingTuesday Nigeria and founder of Do Good Charity Initiative, described the event as a milestone in advancing the spirit of generosity nationwide. “The Giving Festival is more than charity, it’s about building a culture of generosity. For the first time, Nigerians from all sectors can come together to celebrate and practice giving as one community,” she enthused.

The Giving Tuesday Festival 2025 will provide an opportunity for collaboration, learning, and volunteerism, with a focus on communities that rarely benefit from large-scale charity initiatives. The event will feature a CSR Village, nonprofit booths, community activations, and volunteer-driven engagements, promoting kindness and inclusion.

With a dedicated website in place, interested partners and volunteers can access information and register to participate.

The festival is open to the public, offering opportunities for companies to participate as partners, sponsors, or exhibitors.
