Lagos APC Leaders Meet On State Of Political Affairs

Posted on November 2, 2025
Prominent political figures of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC), under the aegis of ‘THE ASIWAJU 2027 PLATFORM’ convened in Ikeja to deliberate on the current political landscape and chart a strategic course towards consolidating the party’s strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting focused on developing a clear and coordinated political agenda aimed at ensuring the APC’s resounding success across all electoral positions in the state.
In their deliberations, the leaders emphasized the imperative of unity, teamwork, and internal cohesion as critical elements for sustained party growth and electoral victory. They underscored the need for sincerity, transparency, and collaboration among members, warning that internal divisions, repression, and marginalization based on political leanings could undermine collective progress.
The gathering further resolved that no sacrifice would be too great and no effort too small in the pursuit of success for the party in the forthcoming elections.
Reiterating that “a house divided against itself cannot stand,” the leaders appealed to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Rt. Hon. Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi (APC State Chairman), and other elders of the party to institute measures that would address existing grievances, correct imbalances, and restore harmony among members.
They noted that the challenges ahead are enormous and can only be surmounted through unity of purpose and collective commitment.
According to the leaders, “We remain steadfast in our efforts to mobilize for Asiwaju’s second-term victory. Our political structure, which has delivered electoral success since 1999, remains intact and continues to be strengthened. The impact of our ongoing work will soon become evident to all.”
They added that engagements are ongoing with like-minded leaders and partners across various platforms in furtherance of the President’s second-term bid, with a comprehensive calendar of activities set to be unveiled in the coming days.

Mudashiru Obasa, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, Senator Anthony Adefuye, Senator Ganiyu Solomon, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Pa Muraina Taiwo, Chief Oluyomi Finnih, Dr. Tola Kasali, Chief Adeola Oyedele, Hon.
