The Franco-Nigeria Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on Friday begins a series of activities to mark the 40th anniversary celebration dedicated to deepening business ties between the two countries.

The FNCCI is holding twin events simultaneously as the 40th anniversary celebration will be held alongside this year’s French Week.

On Friday, 7 November 2025, all roads lead to the Hard Rock Cafe Landmark on Water Corporation Road at Oniru in Victoria Island, Lagos where the opening ceremony and the cocktail event of the weeklong celebration will be held.

On 10 November, it will be the day for the Start-up Summit, while the Business Summit is scheduled for the 13 November.

The celebration will be climaxed on Friday 14 November with the anniversary gala/award night.

According to the President of the FNCCI, Guillaume Niarfeix, “the celebration is not just about our past achievements, it is a reaffirmation of our joint commitment to the future. It represents an opportunity for French and Nigeria businesses, government representatives, investors, and the general public to come together, share ideas, build partnerships, and explore new avenues for growth.

“As we celebrate 40 years of building bridges between France and Nigeria, we also look forward to the next 40 years with optimism, collaboration, and the shared ambition to continue driving progress and prosperity for both nations,” Niarfeix said.

While looking forward to an eventful week, the Consul General of France in Lagos, Ambassador Laurent Favier said the FNCCI is the largest bilateral chamber of commerce in Nigeria and for the past 40 years, but continued to promote Franco-Nigeria commercial relations with its various high-impact initiatives both in Nigeria and France.

“The forthcoming French Week 2025 also creates a platform to further solidify the relationships between both countries with a line-up of high-impact events from the 7th of November,” Ambassador Favier said.
