Olori Adeola Adadapo, the fifth wife of the immediate past Alayemore Olojudo of Ido-Osun, late Oba Tajudeen Aderemi Adadapo,(Sapoyoro), has petitioned the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force demanding the arrest of the late Olojudo’s first daughter, Dolapo Adadapo, the fourth wife of the late monarch, Olori Zainab Adadapo over threat to her life and that of her son, Prince Idris Aderemi Adedapo.

Olori Adeola Adedapo, who was the last wife of the late Olojudo popularly known as “Adeen”, had only a son –Prince Idris Aderemi Adedapo– for the late monarch, living with the monarch in the palace while conceived the pregnancy of Prince Idris during the reign of his husband as Olojudo of Ido-Osun in Egbedore Local Government area of the State.

The late monarch joined his ancestors on May 17, 2024, while the young Prince Idris was born on December 8, 2024.

It was learnt through the younger brother of the late monarch, one Alhaji Sulaiman Angulu that the late monarch married Olori Adeola as fifth wife and the late monarch had earlier divorced the first wife and mother of his daughter, Dolapo Adedapo over marital crisis.

Alhaji Angulu added that the family of late monarch, had been releasing sum of N50,000 to the Olori Adeola on monthly basis for the care of young Prince Idris in order to confirm that the late monarch was responsible for the pregnancy of Olori Adeola.

Angulu equally stated that the properties sold recently and the proceeds from the sale had been shared among the five wives and their children where each wife got over N14 million and each child got the same amount.

But where the crisis started now, was when Olori Adeola and that of her son, Prince Idris to get their share of the proceeds to the tune of N30 million and it was ceased by Dolapo Adedapo in connection with Olori Zainab who is fourth wife of the late monarch.

Olori Adeola who petitioned the State Police Commissioner through her Counsel, Barrister Okobe Najite, Esq, disclosed that his client was generally recognized among the Palace Chiefs and Oloris (wives) as the fifth (Olori) wife of the late monarch.

Disclosing that the threat of life, was necessitated and orchestrated by Dolapo and Olori Zainab because of Olori Adeola requested to get her own share and that of her son in the sale of late monarch properties located at Opposite Engineer Benjamen Olamijulo Avenue, Government Reservation Area(GRA), Oke-fia, Osogbo, worth of N250 million, adding that the late monarch left many other properties worth billions of naira.

The Petition reads thus; “According to our client, acres of land and other properties were sold recently and the proceeds of the sale were kept in the custody of the child of the first wife, Dolapo Adedapo.

“It is to be noted that the late king had separated from the mother of Dolapo Adedapo long before the demise of the king.

“It is rooted in tradition that since the king died intestate, properties, and other accrued inheritance have to be shared equally among his wives and so, the money realized from the sale of acres of land and in the custody of the said Dolapo Adedapo was to be divided equally among the five wives of the late king.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that the current Alayemore Olojudo of Ido-Osun, Oba Olayinka Jokotola Ilufemiloye I, had been informed about this development with the family of the immediate past Alayemore Olojudo of Ido-Osun, Oba Aderemi Adedapo, to ensure that none of the wives and children was shortchanged in the sharing of the proceeds of the sale of the said properties.

It was also gathered that the X-Squard Unit of the State Police Command has been handling the matter as at the time of filing this report on Friday.
