CHIEF FELIX IDIGA HOSTS APC STAKEHOLDERS, DECLARES TO RUN FOR FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPS

Chief Sir Felix Chidi Idiga, a frontline aspirant for the Federal House Representatives of the good people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru-East Federal constituency, in company of his amiable wife, Lady Ada Chinyere Idiga and the structure of their humanitarian outfit – The JAFAC Foundation, played host to the various wards and local governments Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Amaifeke, Orlu country home.
It was a hall filled to capacity and a melting pot of some sort as all the “who is who” of the APC in the region converged to heed the call of the highest human capacity developer and philanthropist ever produced in the zone. The chants and cheers that greeted the entrance of Chief Felix Idiga into the hall and his ultimate official declaration cannot be better described in the sincerest of miens.
The different political formations, men, women, youths groups and leaders of the three local governments took turns on the microphone to express their total love, unalloyed Support and endorsement of the aspiration of Chief Idiga, popularly called “Nkwa Chukwu Kwere Orlu”. The political leaders present highlighted the fact that ordinarily, Chief Sir Felix Idiga should have been gunning for a higher office of the Senate or even governorship, but lauded the selfless gesture of seeking to contest a lower office, all geared towards the end point of impacting people’s lives positively. The campaign was codenamed ‘The Small Philosophy”
Speaking at the event, Chief Sir Felix Chidi Idiga, seeing the genuine crowd that had besieged him, warmly welcomed them and expressed his unadulterated appreciation of the good gesture and honour done to him.
Clearing the issue of why he chose to run for Federal House of Representatives, he said “I wanted to respect my political leaders in the zone. Whether higher or lower office, affecting the people’s lives is paramount”. He decried the rising population of unemployment and youths restiveness in the region and proffered the simple panacea of providing jobs, seed monies and enabling environments for the youths to wrest a living.
In the course of the event and still in the business of giving meaning to lives, Chief Felix Idiga handed a cheque of 60Million Naira to Chief Valentino Ugbala – Director General of the Jafac Foundation. Present also, was the Chairman of the Association of Artisans in the region. The endowment fund would be for the empowerment of over 3000 artisans with various skills of choice, training and retraining of small and medium term business owners.
