Hon. Segun Odunmbaku Attends Commissioning Of Gender Based Unit At Lagos Police Command

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon Segun Odunmbaku, today joined dignitaries at the commissioning of the upgraded Lagos State Police Command Gender Unit in Ikeja, an initiative of the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.

The enhanced facility strengthens the state’s fight against domestic and gender-based violence by improving victim support, timely reporting and coordinated justice delivery.


Hon. Odunmbaku’s attendance reinforces his administration’s active role in supporting anti-GBV institutions, efforts that earned him an award as Okeira Primary Health Centre in Ojodu LCDA was acknowledged at the Lagos State Gender-Based Violence Agency Governor’s Award and Commendation Night on September 25.


Commending the First Lady, Hon. Odunmbaku noted that safeguarding vulnerable residents requires strong collaboration between security agencies and institutions at the various levels of government especially at the grassrooots. He added that Ojodu LCDA will continue to champion programmes and partnerships that promote safety, accountability, and justice for all.

Also at the event were Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Hamzat, Commissioner For Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, Lagos State Commissioner For Justice, Mr Lawal Pedro (SAN), Commissioner For Youth and Social Development, Hon Mobolaji Ogunlende, Chairman of Ikeja LGA, Hon Hakeem Dauda, Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon Moyosore Adebanjo, Executive Secretary of Lagos State DSVA, Mrs Tililola Vivour Adeniyi and other dignatories.
