NELFUND Leadership Engages Stakeholders On Enhancing Access To Student Loans

Stakeholders of the Renewed Hope Administration have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Nigeria’s education sector during a strategic courtesy visit to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr.

The high-level delegation was led by Prince Ade Omole, with Prince Adewale Akinleye and Hon. Aisha Oluwakemi Ololade in attendance. Also present was Mrs. Oluwatuyi Oseyemi, Director of Strategy and Communications at NELFUND.

The visit focused on strengthening collaborative ties with NELFUND and aligning efforts to expand access to quality education for Nigerian students, emphasising the Fund’s role in national development.

Prince Omole commended Mr Sawyerr’s leadership and celebrated NELFUND’s landmark achievement, the successful disbursement of education loans to over one million Nigerian students, highlighting the tangible impact of collective efforts on national development.

He described the milestone as a significant boost to national human capital development and a clear reflection of the effective governance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

In his remarks, Mr. Sawyerr reaffirmed NELFUND’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and impactful service delivery, values he noted are essential for building public trust and demonstrating responsible governance. He also applauded the remarkable trajectory of the Renewed Hope Global Tour, commending its effectiveness in showcasing President Tinubu’s achievements across continents. Mr Sawyerr added that he has been closely following the tour and its outcomes, praising the team’s dedication, professionalism, and genuine passion for Nigeria.

The engagement concluded on a positive note, with Mr. Sawyerr expressing readiness to support the stakeholders’ initiatives and align with their broader mission to promote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s transformative Renewed Hope Agenda for the upliftment of Nigeria and its citizens.
