Man Opens Website For Air Force Recruitment Scam

The operatives of the Police Intelligence Bureau in Ikeja Command, Lagos have uncovered a fake website created to scam the innocent public who wanted to enroll their children at the Nigerian Air force School.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the police intelligence team discovered the website through intelligence gathering and information from the members of the public who were victims. The police reportedly monitored, trailed and arrested the owner of the said website who had nothing to do with the Air Force.
The suspect, a 41-year old Olusola Ogundeko was traced to his base at Ebule-egba area of Lagos from where he was operating the website and defrauding the members of the public. He was subsequently ordered to shut down the site and was arrested by the police.
Police source alleged that Ogundeko opened the site, www.ncee.assure.ng with the intent to defraud the public by pretending to be registering children who wanted to enter Air Force primary school. He was said to be obtaining N5, 000 registration fee for each intending child and many parents had become victims before the police discovered the place and arrested him.
He was charged before Ikeja Magistrate Court for owning the scam website and perpetrating fraud.
He pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 30 April, 2018.
