2 Nabbed For Kidnapping Housewife

Two suspected kidnappers, Sunday Igwe, 28 and Onwe Bright, 21 have been arrested in Lagos after they allegedly abducted a housewife, Mrs. Mildred Mbajorgu and took her into captivity for ransom.
The incident happened at United Estate bus stop at Lekki area near Ajah where they forced the housewife into their Volkswagen Golf car with registration number, KRD 845EC and took her to an unknown place.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the victim was at the bus stop when they drove the Golf car and parked in front of her.
According to the victim, one of them brought out a short gun, pointed it to her face, ordered her into the car and they drove off.
However, their attempt failed after the operatives of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS trailed and arrested the two suspects while others fled. The housewife was also rescued and she narrated what happened to the police. The two suspects were taken to the FSARS office at Ikeja Command where they confessed that they actually kidnapped the victim in order to collect ransom from her family.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the suspects also revealed that they had a hideout along Lekki expressway where they usually hid their victims until ransom was paid. The police have raided and destroyed the place.
They were brought before Ikeja Magistrates court for arraignment over the alleged offence.
However, their arraignment did not hold following the serious nature of the crime.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Akokhia did not take their plea rather she ordered the suspects to be remanded in prison custody.
The court also directed the prosecutor, Mr. Ben Aigbokhan to send their files to the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned pending the outcome of DPP advice and the suspects were remanded in prison custody.
