Man, 20, Arraigned For Penetrating Private Part Of Neighbour’s Girl, 6, With Finger

A 20-year old man, Ayomide Abdulwasiu, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly penetrating the private part of his neighbour’s 6-year old girl with his finger. 

P.M.EXPRESS reports the incident happened on 22nd December, 2025, at Ayodeji Dosunmi Street, GRA, Phase II, Alogba area of Lagos, where they reside.

According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim to an apartment and sexually molested her by penetrating her private part with his finger. And having satisfied himself, he allowed her to go.

However, the victim later revealed what happened to her parents and the matter was reported to the Police in the area. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.

The charge read:

“That you, Ayomide Abdulwasiu ‘m’, on the 22nd day of December, 2025, at Ayodeji Dosunmi Street, GRA, Phase II, Alogba, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually penetrate the vagina of the victim ‘f 6years old with your finger and thereby committed an offence punishable under the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.

The Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Mr. Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.

The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
