The factional President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Sunday Ossai, has demonstrated leadership and determination to unite Ndigbo in the State by directing his members to embrace the ongoing peace moves between his group and Chief Solomon Aguene’s faction in the interest of Ndigbo.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Ossai, also known as Stainless, stated this through his address to his aggrieved members who are against making peace with Aguene’s group and uniting Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State.

The address stated:

“Good morning to all members of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo in Lagos State.

“I find it necessary to come to you all today to speak on an issue that has generated a lot of heat and buzz among the entire Igbo populace in Lagos.”

“The pursuit of peace has been a necessity since man started inhabiting the world, so my search for peace in Ohanaeze Lagos State at this time is not out of place.”

“The process of peace also does not have a straightjacket approach, so one cannot say it must start from A to Z.”

“Some people feel not carried along ab initio, I do apologize, but want all to remember that no human being is infallible.”

“The process is on, and  I implore all my people to get on this peace train so that for once since we came on board we can point to a respite.”

On Saturday the 7th day of February (the month of love) we will gather to kickstart this process.”

“I plead with all my local government chairmen, all my Exco, the youth wing etcetera to please come and be counted.”

“Remember that if you leave your space open, another person will occupy it, so it will be wise for us not to be seen as a clog in the wheel of peace and progress.”

“Once again, I apologize to any of my members who feel aggrieved or slighted by the turn of events, but the last 3 and half years have tried us all beyond limits and Igbos cannot continue fighting themselves for ever.”

“God bless you all and may God bless the Igbo race.

I remain your elected president, Sunday Ossai ( Stainless)”

There has been no official response from Chief Sunday Ossai’s group over the address and it was not certain yet if the group has accepted to attend and embrace peace as Ossai pleaded.

When the Secretary of Chief Sunday Ossai’s group, Chief Robert Obasi was  contacted, he only responded: “The address would have been the first thing to do before signing the MOU. Anyways, we are watching him. No Executive is aware of his activities”
