BabaYou Foundation Targets 10,000 Families For Festive Food Palliatives Programme

A humanitarian organisation, the BabaYou Foundation has commenced programmes aimed at feeding 10,000 families at every festive period.

 

The first phase of the programme started during the Christmas period when more than 10,000 families in Apapa and its environs benefitted from the pilot programme.

 

The Coordinator of the Foundation and former Chairman of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Honourable Rasaq Olusola Ajala told our correspondent on Tuesday, 17 February, 2026, that the programme aimed at providing succour to indigent families to enjoy every festive period.

 

“Fingers are not equal hence the need for us to be our brother’s keeper. The programme is aimed at providing succour to indigent families during festive periods. We want every one to celebrate every festival with food on their tables,” Ajala said.

From Monday, 16 February, 2026, residents of Mushin Federal Constituencies I and II have been trooping to the Umoru Street, where another round of distribution of free food items is taking place.

In Oke-Ode in Kwara State, the Foundation is feeding 1,000 residents daily as Ramadan and Lent commenced and this will be done throughout the fasting periods.

As each resident takes possession of 10kg rice and an envelope of cash to make the commencement of the Ramadan and Lent fastings easier for them, they were profuse in thier prayers and praises for the leaders of the Foundation.

 

“Rasaq Ajala has always been a man with kind heart. He has.not disappointed us and I pray that Almighty God will not disappoint him and the leaders of the Foundation. He will continue to bless him and the leaders of the Foundation,” Musa Ayoola, Islamic cleric said.

 

Ajala stated that the programme in its pilot stage will go round Mushin and Apapa in Lagos and Oke-Ode in Kwara State before moving on to other locations.
