Single Mother Docked For Allegedly Stealing $6000 From Indian Boss Over Sex Squabble

A 35-year old single mother, Vivian Ifeoma Amos, has landed in trouble for allegedly stealing the sum of $6,000, which is equivalent of N11m and cash sum of N2m totaling N13m belonging to her Indian boss, Harish Sonani, over sex squabble.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Abel Oreniyi Street, Awuse Estate, Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, where the lady was initially employed as a cook.
According to the Police, the lady was employed by the complainant as a cook, later started sleeping with her and she gained access to his bedroom where he kept the money.
However, trouble was said to have started after the complainant asked the lady to extend sex service to his brother but she rejected such arrangement. In the process, the lady allegedly stole his $1,500 Dollars and some amount of money inside the bedroom and escaped.
This was said to have led to a disagreement between them and she has been at large.
The matter was reported to the Police at Alausa Division. The lady was later arrested after she went to honour an interview for a cooking job. The complainant identified her and contacted the Police and she was detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
“That you, Vivian Ifeoma Amos ‘F’ sometime in the month of March, 2024 at Abel Oreniyi Street, Awuse Estate, Opebi, Ikeja, in the keja Magisterial District, did willfully and unlawfully damage the kitchen iron door valued One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150,000.00) property of Harish Sonani ‘M’ and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 350 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Vivian Ifeoma Amos ‘F’ on the same date, time and place in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did steal $6,000 US Dollars equivalent of Eleven Million, Six Hundred housand Naira (N11,600,000.00) and cash sum of Two Million Naira totaling N13,600,000.00) property of one Harish Sonani ‘M’ and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, granted her bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 15th March, 2026, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
